Since Kanye West's album My Beautiful Dark Fantasy drops officially the day after my birthday I feel the need to dedicate a few words to him... I'm not sure in which he says the line, "choke a South Park writer with a fishstiick." but I'm happy he drops the reference. West may be a "jackass" as Obama infamously said off record, however he's a jackass that superproduces. Arguably, he is a rapper of the masses. Although I don't find his newest album to be up to par with College Dropout, his work is worth seeing and listening to perhaps solely on the fact that he has made a worthy comeback of an album, complete with a sci-fi film noir spot concerning a hot phoenix who he wifes up and attempts to stop from burning. The phoenix rising from the ashes is symbolic of West's own career and the film itself a visual masterpiece....all in all, West does a Good Ass Job.

i feel like this album is sonically perfect. there isn't an artist in any genre that can make an album that is better sounding. jay is the g.o.a.t. and from a lyrical standpoint he would create something better, but i don't even know if he could make a sound like this. i feel like people undervalue kanye's current work when they compare it to college dropout. CD was/is dope and a classic, but he's only gotten better.
